Store Questions & Answers

Q: How does buying prints from you work?

A: When you purchase a print from the store you will be asked for your shipping details. Then the order gets sent off to the printing company and from there it will arrive at your door. In my experience it takes around a week or so for you to receive your package. Shipping and tax will be added during checkout because they are calculated based off of your shipping address.

Q: All the prints come as matte photo paper. What is that?

A: Let’s break it down. First off what is photo paper? Photographic paper is a paper coated with a light-sensitive chemical formula, like photographic film, used for making photographic prints. Next, what is a Matte finish? Matte finishes have a low gloss percentage, therefore they do not reflect that much light. For years I’ve used a gloss finish but I have recently switched to Matte because they look a lot better and the colors pop more.

Q: How do digital downloads work?

A: When you are looking at a digital download in the store the photo will be watermarked. Upon purchase you will be sent two emails. One email is to notify you that your payment was successful and the order was processed. The other email will send you a digital .jpg file of the photo you purchased. This photo will not be watermarked and it will be uncropped. For security reasons the link will last 24 hours after you first download the file so I strongly suggest backing up your file. Keep in mind if you put in an incorrect email you will not receive your order. If this happens contact me and I will make it right.

Q: How do online payments work?

A: When you are ready to check out you will be asked how you want to pay. I currently accept payments through stripe or paypal. Stripe is a payment processor that handles most credit / debit cards. Payments are encrypted and I never receive your banking details.

Q: If I buy a print do I need my own frame?

A: Yes you do. Your print will come rolled up and it will require a frame. I recommend you wear some sort of soft gloves when handling prints because they pick up fingerprints easily, especially if you are dealing with gloss prints.
